Frequently Asked Questions

What can be pressure wash?

Pressure washing or power washing is the use of spraying water under high pressure to remove loose paint, mould, algae, grime, dust, mud, chewing gum and dirt from surfaces and objects like buildings, fences, masonry, some vehicles and concrete or asphalt surfaces such as driveways or patios.

What if it rains after my windows are cleaned?

Professionally cleaned windows really shouldn’t spot if it rains within a few days of the cleaning. Dirt makes your windows dirty, not rain. When the dust from landscapers, tree pollen, exhaust, etc. settles on your windows, raindrops move the dirt around, and after the rain dries the dirt becomes much more visible. However, clean windows remain clean after the rain because once the pure rainwater dries there is nothing to obscure your view. In the unlikely event that there are spots or marks left on your windows due to rain within 7 days of our professional cleaning, if you have purchased our Premium package, we will return to re-clean those windows at no charge to you. Think of it as free insurance for your windows!

How often should commercial windows be cleaned?

Restaurants should schedule window cleanings every 2 weeks. Office Buildings – Of course, taking into account your building’s actual factors, the average office building should have a full cleaning (inside and out) about twice a year.

How do you count Windows?

A “pane of glass” is a piece of glass surrounded by a frame on all sides. You will want to count each individual pane of glass separately.

Does Hydroforce clean and seal decks?

Should I hire the company that offers the lowest price?

Maybe, but not always. Here are some points to consider:

The price you see advertised may not be the price you pay. Many homeowners have learned that the low price they saw advertised lasted only until the contractor did the estimate. Then they were pressured into paying a lot more for a variety of add-ons.

Some contractors’ market strategy is to get jobs by being the lowest bidder. The contractor will then cut corners in order to turn a profit.

Due to low start-up costs, many companies come and go. When first starting up, a lot of companies do not educate themselves, because pressure washing looks easy and profitable. So, they lack the right equipment, cleaners, insurance, knowledge, professionalism, and normally, will charge an extremely low price.

Why is professional window cleaning service better than DIY?

Many DIY’ers use Windex and a paper towel which does not clean your windows, it rubs the dirt around creating static charge which attracts the dirt but worst of all it can scratch the glass. We use professional tools that have been tried and tested since 1936. Our products are biodegradable and leave a pleasant sparkle.

Why should I have both the interior and exterior cleaned at the same time?

We strongly recommend doing both the interior and exterior at the same time to see the full effect of a perfectly cleaned window. A smear or smudge on the interior not cleaned by a professional could leave you dissatisfied with your service. You will be amazed at the difference it makes!
